You need to know the notes about Mendel and what he did and what he discovered. You also need to know how to do a monohybrid cross in a Punnett Square. You should know the following vocabulary: allele, gene, homozygous, heterozygous, dominant and recessive, genotype and phenotype. You need to be able to analyze a Punnett Square and determine the probability of the trait for the offspring and be able to give the phenotypic and genotypic ratios.
